A useful comparison
Start with what the separate parts cost.
Train 40 staff at £24 each and the staff course alone is £960. Add a modest £1 for each of 600 pupils and the comparison becomes £1,560.
A staff-only course covers only one side of the school’s responsibility. KCSIE says governing bodies and proprietors should ensure children are taught how to keep themselves and others safe, including online; in secondary schools, relevant topics are included within statutory RSHE for all pupils.
